Tidings from the West
"In every man there is something wherein I may learn of him, and in that I am his pupil." –Emerson
Someone may paraphrase that quote in this way: "Everyone knows something that I don't know, I will probe until I find it, hence, everyone is my teacher." No man is an island and whatever task is in front of us we need every one of our brother's knowledge and experiences to accomplish the tasks before us. Let us look to the appointed men in each of the chairs and whisper words of advice and if you are in a chair, seek the wisdom of those who have gone before. Time is fleeting and knowledge is lost if not tapped. Take every opportunity to talk with everyone around before and after meetings. Pass the wisdom around and listen with open minds. Who knows, the next idea may make a difference.
