Tidings from the West:
Getting ready for our Centennial Celebration! February 25th will soon be on us and it is indeed going to be a wonderful night. In preparation for it we are digging through historic records and finding things of interest that have been collecting dust for 100 years. Among them a white stone which, according to the minutes from 1931, was presented to the lodge from a member, one Frank Burgess after a world tour that was mined from King Solomon's quarry. A print from President Franklin Roosevelt's time commemorating the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and many interesting excerpts from the meeting minutes over the last century. A silver trowel is in our collection now from the 25th anniversary. These items will be on display during our celebration.
If anyone feels left out of things, or slighted in any way, or disagrees with things, feel free to let me know. Don't ever stew and sit and think that things can't be changed. That's my job and I will do what I can to maintain that peace and harmony. “Peace and Harmony” - Let’s make sure that whatever we do, we do it in the spirit of peace and harmony in our lodge. I am proud to be part of a lodge where that spirit is exemplified.
