Tidings from the West
Winter has arrived and so to the end of another Masonic year. It seems like not all that long ago I wrote a similar article that spoke of the beginning of the new Masonic year of 2014. Wow, where has the time gone? Still, there is work left to be done in 2015 as we prepare for the installation of new officers for the ensuing Masonic Year of 2015 at Unity Lodge Number 18. As you all know, work and labor is nothing new to Unity Lodge Number 18. In her 102 years of existence, she has faithful pursued her labors. While it is good to reflect on success it is equally if not more important to look at the present, with an eye upon the future. Masonic Year 2015 provides us with a great opportunity to work together for the benefit of the Craft.
I would like to thank all the members for the opportunity to have served as your Senior Warden. I have learned so much during my time in the West. I greatly appreciate the support that you have shown to me this past year and am pleased to report that there were no grievances voiced during 2014. Also, I look forward to serving you from the East in 2015. There is still much to learn and do and I seek your wisdom, guidance and patience as we continue to labor together in Freemasonry. I am confident that as we work together in the spirit of UNITY that 2015 will prove to be a successful and prosperous year for Unity Lodge Number 18 and in turn for all of her Masons.
I wish all my brothers and their families’ safe and joyful holidays and pray that the GAOTU will bless and keep you throughout this holiday season.
