Greetings from the East

Greetings from the East Brethren.

Welcome back to Lodge! I hope that everyone had an enjoyable summer break. I want to thank everyone that attended our Table Lodge in June, it was a great event. Thank you to everyone who made it a success. September is a light month but I want to highlight a special event. On September 13 at 7:00 PM we will be having an education discussion on topics in the EA Degree. This is a great opportunity to expand your Masonic knowledge.

This summer I had the opportunity to visit the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. On display in their museum they have one of Most Worshipful Brother George Washington’s Masonic aprons. MW Brother Washington was a charter Master of Alexandria Lodge #22 in Alexandria, Virginia, while also serving as President of the United States. On my trip to Pennsylvania, I enjoyed learning about our brother Masons who helped to shape this country. I hope that each of you takes pride in being a Mason and that you display your pride to the world around you

From the Secretary’s desk

Summers is almost over, seems like the days and months go by so fast.  Not much excitement over the summer for Unity Lodge.  I have to agree with the Worshipful Master, that the Table Lodge in June was a great success.  If you didn’t make it to this one, plan now to attend the next one.

Received word today that Brother Andy Bolos died this morning.  Andy has been a member of Unity Lodge for over 43 years.  Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

If you hear of a Brother that is having health problems or could use a visit from a lodge Brother, please let me know.

September always brings beautiful colors.  May you take time to enjoy them!

David W. Barron, PGM – Secretary
