From The East
Greetings from the East Brethren, it was good to see everyone on the sidelines after our summer break and for the EA degree we did on the 21st, it was also good to see my father on the sidelines for the degree work. Unfortunately we lost PM Schooley Wilcoxon the day after our September business meeting. I would again like to thank my officers and brethren who were able to attend and assist with the services.
I’m hoping for a good turnout for the dinner box auction being hosted by Bethel #2 of Job’s Daughters on 5 October at 1830 (6:30pm). It’s our business meeting night so please show up early and support our young ladies by bidding on one of the box suppers, it’s a worthy fundraiser.
I’ve been informed that there are widows who would not be able to attend a widow’s luncheon even if they had transportation. What I’ve decided to do is visit each widow and present them with a small gift from the Lodge. I would like to discuss this at October’s business meeting so the gifts can be purchased and the visitations start in October. I would also like some help from my officers as well as the brethren.
As far as the Past Master’s Night, it will be held on Saturday, October 22 at Gray Cliff Lodge with Social at 5:30 pm and dinner at 6:00 pm. Reservations will need to be in to me or the Secretary by Monday, October 17th.
Again, I would like to thank everyone for their support and look forward to seeing you on the sidelines.
